 There is no limit on how much currency you take out of the UK. The Cyprus Government allows you to bring in or take out up to CYŁ500 in local currency without declaring this. We recommend you take most of your spending money in the form of traveler's cheques  (Sterling), although in the major tourist centers the banks should cash cheques written in conjunction with a Eurocheque card, and credit cards are widely accepted. You can also withdraw money from cash machines.
